Economic and Social Council

Chairs

“It is an honor to serve as a chair of the Economic and Social Council for this year’s YMUN conference. My name is Lin Htet Aung and I am currently a junior from ISM. This is my second time chairing at the MUN conference. Throughout my conferences as a delegate, MUN has helped me broaden my views on political issues. That being said, I look forward to chairing for the ECOSOC committee. I hope this conference will be the most memorable conference you have ever attended. If you have any concerns, feel free to contact me through linhtetaung.21@ismyanmar.com.”

“I am Khun Cho Thar Lwin, a sophomore from Yangon International School. It is an honor to serve as one of the chairs for ECOSOC. For me, MUN holds a special place in my heart. Being part of MUN for many years, I learned a lot about people with different opinions and values and the MUN conference itself. YMUN XI will be my 9th conference and my second time chairing. I hope all delegates in ECOSOC can take this opportunity to learn about various perspectives on the world’s economic and social issues. Looking forward to meeting all of you!”

“My name is May Zin Htike and I will be chairing ECOSOC in YMUN XI this year. I am currently a senior at the International School of Myanmar. I have been a delegate twice: in the Arab League my first year and in DISEC my second year. This is my second time chairing as I was a chair of UNODC last year. I have enjoyed my experience at YMUN so far, both in being a delegate and a chair. If you have any questions or anything, please feel free to email me. I look forward to being your chair and hope for a productive conference.”
